
NANCIE L. POPPEMA President and CEO
Nancie Poppema is one of CCA’s chief strategists for high-risk situations and controversy in the U.S. and globally. Her experience ranges from Congressional hearings to stakeholder interactions to civil/regulatory litigation to “bet-the-company” strategic advice. She is fully experienced in all facets of CCA’s issue-oriented communication skill labs, including regulatory interactions in state, federal, FDA, and nuclear arenas. Ms. Poppema joined CCA in 1986 armed with fourteen years experience as a skilled and perceptive executive speech coach, speech writer, and issues specialist for technically-oriented firms. Poppema’s strategic expertise is invaluable in preparing executives and technical leaders for high-risk situations including Congressional investigations, crisis readiness, media interviews, public meetings, contract “orals,” FDA drug approvals, litigation, and issue resolution. She holds a bachelor’s degree in Rhetorical Strategy and Debate from Ball State University, and a master’s degree in Oral Communication from Arizona State University.
